Air Jamaica Increases Summer Schedule To Jamaica, Grenada. Airline Suspends Service From New York To Barbados

KINGSTON, JAMAICA – March 30, 2009 – Air Jamaica recently announced that it will align capacity in response to market demand by boosting the number of flights on its core routes. The airline also announced that it would suspend its New York/Barbados service effective April 20, 2009.
“We are following through on some key strategies of our business plan which allow us to focus on our strengths,” said Bruce Nobles, the airline’s President and CEO.
For the summer period, the airline’s schedule will increase to as many as 246 weekly flights, including:
· New York to Grenada: 4 weekly flights
· Fort Lauderdale to Jamaica: 5 daily flights
· New York to Jamaica: 4 daily flights
· Toronto to Jamaica: daily service
