Air Jamaica Strengthens Core Routes
2/5/2009
New schedule features the most daily flights to Fort Lauderdale and the only daily non-stop flights to New York.
February 5, KINGSTON— Moving swiftly on key elements of a new business plan, Air Jamaica has announced a new schedule that focuses on core routes in the US, offering flight options with superior convenience to both Jamaicans and visitors.
Effective February 26, the airline’s new schedule will include four daily flights between Jamaica and Fort Lauderdale. This schedule will allow South Florida passengers to have the flexibility of early morning arrivals and late evening departures. The Fort Lauderdale-Hollywood International Airport offers easy access to Miami, and with more Jamaicans living and working in West Palm Beach and surrounding areas, Air Jamaica is confident that the new schedule is in step with the lifestyles of the airline’s passengers.
The new schedule will also offer the only daily non-stop flights between Jamaica and New York, with two flights from Kingston and one from Montego Bay, each day.
Air Jamaica’s new schedule has 218 weekly flights to 13 destinations, with service between Jamaica and Toronto, New York (JFK), Chicago (O’Hare), Baltimore, Philadelphia, Orlando, Fort Lauderdale, Curacao, Nassau, and Havana, as well as service between New York and Barbados and New York and Grenada.
