Projects we Support

In an effort to reach out to the community in our destinations, staff at Air Jamaica created the Lovebird Kids’ Club.

 

The aim of the Lovebird Kids’ Club is to enhance the quality of life for children living in the Caribbean, and in Caribbean communities within the US, by providing increased educational opportunities and improved learning facilities.

 

Through fund-raising efforts and individual and corporate donations, the Lovebird Kids’ Club has established reading labs in schools throughout the Caribbean, providing much needed computers, books, educational toys, computer programs, televisions, VCR and DVD players, tables and chairs, as well as other teaching aids. In addition to this the Club has also provided paint and building materials to make structural and aesthetic repairs to areas designated for the reading labs.

 

Schools assisted to date are:

 

Jamaica:  Flankers Primary and Junior High School, Montego Bay Infant School, St. 

                 Peter Claver High School, Balcombe Drive Primary and Junior High School,

                 Joy Town Learning Center, Kiwanis Club of West St. Andrew (donation of toys)

 

St. Lucia:  Vieux Fort Junior Primary School; Dunnotar School

 

Antigua:    JWE Fletcher Memorial RC School, Jennings Ebenezar Primary School

Miami, Fl:  Norland Elementary School

New York:  PS245, PS208, PS6

 

The Lovebird Kids’ Club is a registered 501© charitable organization and, as such, all donations are tax-exempt.
